Product Bio
Cineraria, known for its vibrant and delicate flowers, thrives in cool temperatures and brightens up any garden with its mixed colours. Here’s how to sow and care for Cineraria Mixed Colour Flower Seeds:
Timing and Location: Cineraria seeds are best sown indoors about 8-10 weeks before the last frost date in your area. Choose a location with bright, indirect sunlight or partial shade for outdoor planting.
Soil Preparation: Use a well-draining, light potting mix for indoor sowing or prepare the garden soil by adding organic matter such as compost to improve fertility and drainage.
Sowing: Scatter the Cineraria Mixed Colour seeds over the soil surface or plant them 1/8 inch deep. Gently press the seeds into the soil and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil or vermiculite.
Moisture and Temperature: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged during the germination period, which typically takes 10-21 days. Maintain a soil temperature of around 65-70°F (18-21°C) for successful germination.
Thinning: Once the seedlings emerge and develop their first true leaves, thin them to provide adequate space for growth, leaving the strongest seedlings in place.
Transplanting: When the seedlings have grown to a suitable size and the danger of frost has passed, transplant them into the garden or individual containers, spacing them according to their mature size.
By following these guidelines and providing proper care, you can enjoy a stunning display of colourful Cineraria blooms in your garden or indoor space.
